Barsha Priyadarshini is a popular actress associated with Bengali and Oriya films. Made her film debut in the year 2003, Oriya film - E Juga ra Krushna Sudama was her first release. She debut the Bengali film industry through Jor in 2008. A talented actress known for her next door looks, she has won best actress award several times. She has done around 50 films till now, and she played lead actress role in most of the movies. Her name is pronounced as Barsa or Varsha. She is married to noted Oriya actor and politician Anubhav Mohanty since 2014.

She is active in the film industry since 2003. She won Odisha State Award for "Prema Sabuthu Balaban" in the year 2014 and Tarang Cine Awards for "Something Something" in 2013. Ama Bhitare kichi achi – released in 2010 was the first film which earned her an award and accolades. The romantic film starring Anubhav and Barsha was well appreciated by audience too. A busy actress of Oriya film industry, Gote Sua Gote Sari (2016) and Gapa Halebi Sata (2015) are her recent releases.

Barsha Priyadarshini was born on 7 August 1984 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha into a film family. Her mother Deepa Sahu is an actress. Her family originally belongs to Jagatsingpur district. She studied at Sailabala Women’s College Cuttack and Rama Devi Women’s College. She got attracted to the film field by watching her mother’s movies regularly. Her mother has been a film star earlier. Barsha has two elder sisters.

She made her Oriya film debut in 2003 and Bengali film debut in 2008. Something Something 2 “(2014), Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu(2013), Agnishika(2007), Baazi (2004) etc are her noted Oriya movies, while Jor(2008), Golmaal(2008), Achena Prem (2011) etc are her noted Bengali works.
