Baliram Sukur Jadhav Biography

Baliram Sukur Jadhav is an Indian politician from Maharashtra belonging to Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi political party. Currently he is a member of 15^th Lok Sabha, representing Palghar constituency of Maharashtra. He contested the elections as an independent candidate, with support from ex-MLA Hitendra Thakur and his party Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi which helped him to win the elections. Seating Member of Parliament, Damodar Barku Shingada lagged to third position in the Lok Sabha elections. He is the member of the Social Justice & Empowerment Committee, in the Lok Sabha since 2009. He is a Social activist and has served as a sarpanch for 17 years and now enjoying his first term as MP.

He was born on June 2, 1956 in Thane district, Maharashtra. Sukur Jadhav and Shalubai were his parents. He is married to Vanita Baliram Jadhav, who has unsuccessfully contested from Thane Zilla Parishad post. They have 4 children. He belongs to an agriculture family and now also continues farming. He has served as Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Saiwan for long 17 years. Sabhapati Krushi Utpanna Bazar Samiti and Kala-Krida Mohotsav Vasai are other organizations with which he has associated with. Reading books and newspapers, social service and travelling to meet common people are his favourites.

His contributions in the tribal development in the past have helped him a lot to become an influential candidate of Palghar constituency. He also got support from Hitendra Thakur and his party Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi to win the Lok Sabha elections in 2009. He won with a majority of 223234 votes.
