Badri made his debut as an independent director through Veerappu in 2007. Sundar.C played lead hero in the film. Though the movie was inspired to be a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Spadikam’ it included many scenes of hit action Mohanlal movies of 1990s like Narasimham, which was heavily criticized by critics.
