Ayush Mahesh Khedekar Biography 
Ayush Mahesh Khedekar is a child artist of Indian cinema best known for playing young Jamal Malik in Academy award winning movie - Slumdog Millionaire (2008). His portrayal of childhood days of Jamal earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award too. He played the role of Gullel of popular television series – Baa Bahu aur baby. Most recently he appeared in a Marathi film, Fakta Ladh Mhana directed by Sanjay Jadhav. The movie included the star cast of Aniket Vishwasrao, Siddarth Jadhav and Sanjay Narvekar and young Ayush played the role of Pani Kam. Kayaamat and Karam Apna Apna are his other noted televsion appearances. He appeared as a dancer in dancing reality show - Zara Nachke Dikha.
Ayush Mahesh Khedekar was born in Mumbai in April 2000. He hails from Bhayandar, a distant suburb of Mumbai. His mother is a teacher and his father currently works as engineer Bombay Port Trust. His father was associated with Marathi theatre earlier. Ayush started his modelling career at the age of 4 and has appeared in many TV ads like Britannia, Colgate, Kelloggs and HDFC bank. Later he appeared in a few television serials and Bollywood movies too.
Slumdog Millionaire marked his international debut in 2008 and became a popular figure worldwide with the release of the movie. He played the role of a slum kid – the lead hero. He was the among the star cast of the movie which received Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, held at Los Angeles, California. Slumdog Millionaire owes a big part of its success to 8-year old Ayush.
