Ayaz Khan is a model turned actor, best known for the negative role of Sushant, Genelia D'Souza’s fiancée in 2008 blockbuster hit, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. Apart from television serials, he has appeared in numerous television ads also. He played the role of Major Pratap in his most recent release, Chashme baddoor. Parichay, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, Hide & Seek, Bluffmaster! and Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd are other noted Bollywood roles, in which he played supporting roles. He played the role of Dr. Shubhankar Rai in Dill Mill Gayye, which is his noted role on television.

He was born on 1 April 1979. He started his career as a model in the late 1990’s. He appeared in many commercial ads during this time. After playing less significant roles in Bluff Master and Honeymoon Travels Pvt, his real Bollywood debut happened through Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, the movie through which Aamir Khan launched his nephew, Imran Khan. He portrayed different shades - charisma, romance, passion and hatred through his single role. He is the face of many advertisements with big brands. Till now, he has done more than 100 television commercials and 300 press advertisements!

Ayaz is now in a romantic relationship with his Parichay co-star, Aarti Singh. The two played husband and wife in the show and according to sources they fell in love as soon as they meet in the sets of the show. Ayaz played the positive and meaty role of protagonist Samir Soni’s younger brother in Parichay, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
