Atif Aslam Biography 
Atif Aslam is a leading playback singer of Bollywood and popular pop singer too. Born in Wazirabad of Punjab, he has given significant contribution to Pakistan music too, thus receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan's highest civilian honours. As a pop singer, his albums – Jal pari, Doorie and Meri Kahani were huge hits breaking many records both in India as well as Pakistan. He is one among those Pakistan celebrities whom India has accepted their own. Now he is the leading playback singer of Bollywood and music composers compete with one another to give him the best song of a song album. He has also sung a few Hollywood songs for the movies – Man push cart and The reluctant fundamentalist. As an artist, he has fans all over the world.
He debut Bollwood with blockbuster song ‘Woh lamhe woh batein’ of Zahar. It’s commonly noted that in a song album, he sings for just one or two songs and those songs become chart toppers too. Among his wonderful hit Bollywood songs these songs were mega blockbusters – Tera hone laga hai and Tu jaane na of Ajab prem ki gazab kahani, Tu muhabbat hai and Piya o re piya of Tere naal pyar ho gaya, Baquda tumhi ho of Kismat connection, Tere liye and Oh meri khuda of Prince, Be imtahaan and Allah duhai hai of Race 2, Ab to aadat hai mujhko of Kalyug, Pehli nazar mein kya jaadu kar diya of Race, Aa bhi ja of Jayantha bhai ki luv story, Woh lamhe of Zahar and Tere bin of Bas ek pal. He has been pictured in the music promos of these songs and were used for promoting the movies before release. Count of the songs he has sung for Bollywood is only feable, yet his demand among music directors is at the top. He has been nominated three times in Filmfare for best singer male – Bas ek pal, Ajab pyar ki gazab kahani and Zeher.
His albums have won many music awards. His album Aadat has won Best lyrics, song and composition awards at Indus music awards. Same year, he won best debut male awards at Sahara Sangeet awards too. Other award winning albums include Doorie, Jal pari and Hona tha pyar bol.
