Ashwin Sanghi Biography

Ashwin Sanghi is an Indian conspiracy fiction writer popular with thriller fiction works. The Rozabal Line (2007), Chanakya's Chant (2010) and The Krishna Key (2012) are bestselling thrillers of this author. These books are based on historical, theological and mythological themes. Forbes India has included him in their Forbes India Celebrity 100. His first book, The Rozabal Line is a fictional story of Jesus Christ which hypothesizes that he survived the crucifixion and later settled in India. Certain incidents quoted in this novel have striking similarities with Mumbai attack 2008. He has also been hailed as the Indian Dan Brown for his works and his works, The Rozabal Line and The Krishna Key often compared to The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, giving names as Indian versions of both these works.

Sanghi was born in Mumbai on January 25, 1969. He completed schooling from the Cathedral & John Connon School. Later he graduated in Economics from St. Xavier’s College and earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management. After completion of MBA he joined family business in 1993. He wrote his first novel, The Rozabal Line in 2006 and published the following year. This work succeeded in creating a historical/mythological thriller genre in India, a section that had not been explored by Indian writers earlier. It is "a thriller that inquiries into the controversial claim that Jesus Christ reached India and was buried in Kashmir’s Rozabal Tomb.

His second work was Chanakya's Chant published in 2010. This historic book too also was a bestseller and was praised by critics. This book won the Vodafone-Crossword Popular Choice Award for 2010. His latest release is The Krishna Key which is the story of a history professor who tries to prove his innocence against a murder charge.
