Asha Negi Biography

Asha Negi is a Hindi television actress known for portraying the role of Purvi Kirloskar in Pavitra Rishta and Apeksha Malhotrain Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She is also a reality show winner. She won dance reality show Nach Baliye 6 along with her partner Rithvik Dhanjan. These two co-stars and dancing partners have been dating for a long time. They together appeared in television series - Pavitra Rishta. They won Nach Baliye most recently in February 2014 after three months of scintillating performances. They defeated Debina-Gurmeet Kohli, Ripu-Shivangi and Vinod-Raksha pairs in the finals. The pair won 35 lakh cash prize aside a free trip to Australia.

AshaNegi was born and brought up in Dehradun where she completed her education. After studies, she worked at a Travel Agency in Bangalore for a short while and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. She started her modelling career in 2009 while at college and also won Miss Uttarkhand 2009. She did many photo shoots and ad campaigns too. Sapnon Se Bhare Naina in 2011 marked her television debut where she played the role of Madhura. Her role as Apeksha Malhotra in successful television series of Sony TV - Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, brought her to limelight. Pavitra Rishta and Punar Vivah are her other major roles. She received nominations for Best actress and Best Jodi at Gold Awards.

She has been associated with Balaji Telefilms and has appeared in many of their popular shows. She fell in love with her ‘Pavitra Rishta’ co-star, Rithvik Dhanjan. Though both denied the relationship at first saying it’s just friendship, later both accepted the fact. They have been the most popular Jodi of the last season of Nachbaliye too.
