Arya Biography

Arya is an Indian film actor who concentrates in Tamil Cinema. He acted in many famous films such as Arinthum Ariyaamalum in 2005, Pattiyal in 2006, Naan Kadavul in 2009, Madrasapattinam in 2010, Boss Engira Bhaskaran in 2010 and Avan Ivan in 2011.

 

He was born on 11th December 1980 in Trikarpur in India. He has a brother Sathya and sister Razi. He finished his schooling in SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School in Chennai. He studied at Crescent Engineering College and obtained engineering degree. He started his career as a computer engineer and at that time he was approached by the cinematographer Jeeva for his film Ullam Ketkumaei in 2003. He signed the project and was named as Arya by Jeeva.

 

His first appearance was as Kutty in the film Arinthum Ariyamalum by Vishnuvardhan and this was a super hit film. He got Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for this film in 2005. His Ullam Kaetkume was released with a delay and was a box office hit. Oru Kalluriyin Kathai gave him a strong opening but was a commercial failure. He appeared in the film Vattaram, Maya Kannadi and Oram Po.

 

His next release in 2009 was Aghoris Naan Kadavul. The year 2010 was a successful year for him that established him as the leading actor in South Indian films. His period film Madrasapattinam won positive reviews and was a box office hit. He played a significant role of a dhobi in Washermenpet falling in love with the beautiful daughter of the governor. This story is woven around the time of Indian Independence.

 

The comedy film Boss Engira Bhaskaran won him good name. His last release in 2010 was Chikku Bukku in which he played dual role. He also undertook film production under the banner of The Show People and produced his first film Boss Engira Bhaskaran.
