Armaan Jain Biography

Armaan Jain is a member of the famous Kapoor Filmy family, who recently joined Bollywood. Grandson of Raj Kapoor-Krishna couple, he made his film debut with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil in 2014. He played male lead of the film opposite Deeksha Seth. Though his romantic looks and acting skills were appreciated, the movie failed to set an impact in box office. His second film - "Dekho Magar Pyar Se" released the same year sank without any traces.

He was born on 25th November, 1990. He is closely linked to the most famous filmy family of Indian cinema – Kapoor Family. His father is Mohan Jain, an investment banker and mother is Reema Jain, the youngest daughter of Raj Kapoor. His mother, a member of Kapoor family has never been into film line like old female members of Kapoor family. But Armaan stepped into the shoes of his grandfather, granduncles, uncles and cousins. Prithviraj Kapoor is his great grandfather. Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor are his great-uncles. Among the prominent members of third generation, his uncles Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor earned success as film actors. His cousins - Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Armaan Jain are well established names of new generation Bollywood.

Armaan was into marketing field before he joined Bollywood. He pursued Businesses Management course in Regents College, London. But he discontinued his studies to pursue a career in Bollywood. Earlier he was never interested in filmy stuffs and movies. For the same reason his decision surprised his parents a lot. He worked hard to achieve good physique and fitness and started his career as an assistant director under Shakun Batra for the film, "Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” which starred his cousin Kareena Kapoor in lead role. He also assisted Karan Johar for the film, "Student of the year" before he made his acting debut through Lekar Hum Deewana Dil in 2014.
