Arjun Menon Biography 
Arjun Menon is a popular Indian musician based on New York, USA. He is the son of prominent media personality and business magnet - Prem Menon, based on Chennai. He is also a playback singer and lyricist associated with Tamil cinema. He is a trained Carnatic singer too. "Latcham Calorie" song from the movie Yaan in 2014 marked his singing debut in Tamil cinema. Earlier he has sung the track "Kulu Kulu Venpani Pola" for the movie, Engeyum Kadhal (2011) composed by Harris Jeyaraj. He also had a brief stint of acting for television serials as a teenager. He played the male protagonist ‘Ayyappan’ of the mythological series – Swami Ayyappan aired on Asianet in 2001, which made him immensely popular.
Arjun was born on December 19, 1987 in Chennai to prominent media person, Prem Menon and his wife Usha. His grandfather MM Menon was General Manager of Hindustan Levers Pvt. His singing talent was discovered by his parents at a younger age. They initiated him to the world of classical music at the age of 4 and Arjun received formal training in Carnatic music from Ajay Namboodiri and Prof. Ramamoorthy Rao and for a short period from Chitravina Ravikiran. Since the age of 10, he regularly performed in music concerts. He also got exposed to other genres of music and learnt to play the acoustic guitar while at school.
During his college days, he won “Best vocalist” at the singing competition “Pradharshini-`06” in 2006 and Light Music Vocal - Solo title at “Saarang -`09” in 2009. He formed the band "Clarity in Confusion" with his college friends, which is live still now. He hosted Zee Tamil’s unplugged music show - "Isai Unplugged" in 2010. He is regular in stage shows as a performer and also appears as a celebrity judge for singing talent hunt shows.
