Arindam Chaudhuri Biography

Arindam Chaudhuri is better known as a noted Indian orator. He is an economist, author and the director of IIPM Think Tank at Indian Institute of Planning and Management. He is often referred to as "management guru" whose hours cost dollars. He has also won three National film awards as a film producer. Currently he charges one lakh dollars for a speaking or consulting assignment of just 90 minutes if maximum participants are restricted to 25. For adding one participant each, he charges additional 1000 dollars and flat 1.5 lakh dollars if participants are above 50. But he never charges if he is conducting the program for Indian army, Police or non-political gathering with people about 25,000. He is the founder of a social organization, Planman Consulting and Great Indian Dream Foundation. He also owns Delhi franchise of the i1 Super Series motor sports league.

 

Arindam’s father Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri is the founder of Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM). He founded the organization in the year 1973. Arindam completed post graduate diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from IIPM in 1992 and became Honorary Dean for the IIPM Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies. In 2004, he was appointed as Consultative Committee for the Planning Commission, Government of India. Arindam has authorized five books till now of which ‘Count your chickens before they hatch’ is the most noted work. Other books are Discover the diamond in you, Cult: Leadership & Business Strategy, Thorns to competition and The Great Indian Dream: Restoring pride to a nation betrayed.

 

He is a successful Hindi producer as well, who won three National awards. Do Dooni Char happened to be the comeback movie of Neetu Singh, where she was paired opposite her husband. Arindam was the producer of this movie and for the social message given through the movie, it received best Hindi film at National awards. As a producer, he won Best Film on Family Welfare for Faltu (2006) and Best Feature Film in English for The Last Lear, the following year.
