Anusree Biography

Anusree is a talented young actress of Malayalam cinema, best known for her debut film - Diamond Necklace, and title roles in Itihaasa and Chandrettan Evideya. She is one among the promising actresses of Malayalam at present flexible in handling any type of characters – from a college girl to a matured house wife. She has excelled in comic roles as well. Vedivazhipadu, Angry Babies in Love, Rajamma @ Yahoo, Red Wine, Naku Penda Naku Taka and Life Partner are other noted appearances. Maheshinte Prathikaaram – is her upcoming flick where she plays the title role aside Fahadh Faasil, with whom she was paired for her debut film.

Anusree Nair was born on July 30, 1990 at Kamukumchery, Kollam. Her father works in Kerala Water Authority while her mother is a homemaker. She has one elder brother. She studied at Pathanapuram till her plus two and currently pursuing degree course through distant education. She came to limelight through reality shows on television, while studying Plus two.

Anusree was spotted by Lal Jose during an acting reality show. He was one of the judges of the show and he found Anusree the perfect fit for the role of a traditional village girl - Kalamandalam Rajasree for his next flick Diamond Necklace. She played the role of a village girl bride of Fahadh Faasil, known for his stylish look. As script demanded, it was a ‘Perfect Mismatch’ between a city boy and a village girl, a forced marriage that occurred with parents’ choice. Anushree was just tailor-made for the role and she delivered the dialogue, Arunetta, I miss you with perfection and her role was an instant hit. 

Later she received similar village girl roles. She broke the myth by playing modern roles as well. She played the female lead in Dileep starrer ‘Chandrettan Evideya’ and earned a lot of appreciation. Though Dileep was the lead star, it’s Anu’s stellar performance that stole the show. Her one liner dialogue, ‘Chandrettan Evideya’ was also an instant hit.
