Anup Sridhar Biography 
Anup Sridhar is an Indian sportsman who excels in the game of badminton. He serves as the captain of the Indian Thomas Cup. He is connected with the Padukone Badminton Academy at Bangalore.
He was born on 11th April 1983. His father’s name is D.R. Sridhar and his mother’s name is Bharathi. His father works as the General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer of the Vijaya Bank. He married Priyanka Shetty in 2009. In the year 2007, he ranked number one in India in badminton with a world rank of 25. His highest world ranking was 24 achieved in 2008.
He won the 2005 World Champion at the World Championships. She won the prestigious Pramod Mahajan All India Ranking Tournament in New Delhi in 2008. Then he reached the pre-quarterfinals of the Proton Malaysia Super Series and ended as the runner up. He became the third Indian after Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand to achieve in the World Badminton Championship in Kuala Lumpur.
He represented India in badminton in the 2008 Summer Olympics held at Beijing and contested in the men’s singles event. He is employed at Bharat Petroleum and SLK Software sponsors him.
