Anu Hasan is a Tamil actress, model, entrepreneur and TV anchor who became very famous for taking part in the talk show Koffee with Anu in Vijay TV. She was born on 15th July 1970 and her debut film is Indira in the year 1995. She played supporting roles in many Tamil films.
Anu Hasan is the daughter of the lawyer Chandrahasan. Srinivasa Iyengar is her grandfather who is a wealthy man in Ramanathapuram district. Chandrahasan is the brother of Kamal Hasan. She did her schooling at St. Joseph Anglo-Indian Girls Higher Secondary School, in Trichy and did her M. Sc in Physics and management in BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan. She was married to Vikas and the marriage broke off after sometime and later she married Graham Jay on 4th Noember 2010.
She excelled in martial arts and got trained in Silambam, Kaipor, Kurunthadi and Chiramam. She is also a proficient basket ball player and a jazz singer. She acted in films under the guidance of Suhasini, daughter of Charuhasan and her cousin.
She acted in few films playing the minor roles like sister, mother, etc. Some of her important films are Run which earned her Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and the film Nala Damayanthi. She also appeared in the television serials Anbulla Snehidhiye, Avan Aval Aargal, Vivahita, etc. Koffee with Anu was hosted by her for more than three years in Vijay TV that made her a very famous person in Tamil Nadu. She also got Kalaimamani award from Tamil Nadu State Government.
Anu is greatly talented in conducting chat shows. She is a good listener and likes to interact with people. She had a great time chatting with Vikram and Simbu on the Independence Day when the show Koffee with Anu was inaugurated. She shares a warm rapport with a number of popular ones in Tamil film industry.
