Anjana Menon Biography

Anjana Menon is a south Indian film actress who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil films. She hails from Angamaly, Ernakulam and currently resides in Bangalore. She made her film debut through 2011 movie Traffic, directed by late film director Rajesh Pillai. She played the supporting role of Vyga in the film. In 2013 she played one of the three leads of Sugeeth’s 3 Dots, starring Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon. But the movie was disappointing at box office. Anjana is the daughter of Nirmala, a dancer and artist who got opportunity to work in Dan Baron’s Hollywood film, Basmati Blues. Anjana is popular with TV ads too.

She was born in Angamali to an artistic family in 1988. Her mother Nirmala is a trained dancer and also an actress. Her education was completed at Bangalore, where she is currently settled. She schooled at Air Force School and completed graduation and PG in Human Resources from the Christ University in Bangalore. After studies she had a brief stint as an HR Associate in the Times of India before she pursued modeling and acting career. She got her first break through Traffic in 2011, a movie which had an ensemble star cast including Jose Prakash, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Kunchacko Boban, Anoop Menon etc.

She played a cameo role in B R Jacob’s Police Maman, followed by lead role in 3 Dots directed by Sugeeth of Ordinary fame. She played female lead in 2013 film, Chuzhali Kattu, followed by a few noted appearances in Black Ticket, High Alert and a few more. She was also seen in Tamil-Telugu bilingual film, Payanangal Thodarkindrana. Yet she is still to make a mark in the film industry. She has also appeared in TV ads of MIR Realtors, Malayala Manorama, Paul Alukkas etc.
