Anil Aggrawal Biography

Anil Kumar Aggrawal, shortly known as Anil K. Aggrawal or Anil Aggrawal is a professor of forensic medicine at the Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He is better known as the Editor-in-Chief of the Internet Journal of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. He has worked as a faculty in different medical organizations and college, starting with Maulana Azad Medical College in 1985. Currently he resides in Delhi with his Chemist wife and the couple has one son.

 

Anil K. Aggrawal was born in New Delhi on August 17, 1956. His schooling was completed at Ramjas Higher Secondary School, Daryaganj in 1972. He joined premedical school in Hansraj College at the University of Delhi. In 1973, he joined MBBS as a student at University College of Medical Sciences. In 1979, he did housemanship in otorhinolaryngology and medicine. In 1979, he joined as a postgraduate student in Forensic Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences and passed out in 1982. He was guided by Dr. Jagdish Chandra during his post-graduation studies. In 1985, he joined Maulana Azad Medical College as a faculty. Four years later, he went to Edinburgh Medical School for higher studies. He spent one year at Edinburgh.

 

In 1996, he received WHO fellowship through which he taught at different international universities. He has taught at Shiga University of Medical Sciences, Japan and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington. He has written several books on medical care for the layman and runs two online journals. His association with internet started long back in 1996 when computer, e-mail and internet were new terms to the world of telecommunication. He has a personal medical library of over 20,000 books.
