Anikha Biography

Anikha is a popular child artist associated with Malayalam cinema, who came to limelight playing the role of young and smart kid in the super hit movie – Bhaskar The Rascal (2015). She played the role of Nayanthara’s daughter in the movie. She first came to notice through her debut movie, Katha thudarunnu, where she played the role of Mamta Mohandas and Asif Ali’s daughter. A winner of Kerala State Film Awards 2013 for her award winning performance in Anchu Sundarikal, she is quite popular through TV ads too. Race, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Nayana,              Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Bavuttiyude Namathil and Onnum Mindathe are her other noted Malayalam movies.

She was born in Mancheri of Malappuram district in 2004. Her father Surendran works in the field of modelling as a model coordinator. Her long hair and pleasant face, always with a smile is her plus point, which attracts the viewers. She started her career at the age of one and a half, in Mohanlal starrer Chotta Mumbai in 2006. She played the role of Mamata's daughter in Sathyan Anthikad's movie, ‘Katha Thudarunnu' – which was one of the biggest hits of the year 2010. She was studying in class two while doing this movie which garnished a lot of public attention. The movie earned her Asianet Film Awards for best child artist in 2010.

She has appeared in ‘Last Wish', an English film and most recently made her Tamil debut through Ajith Kumar’s Yennai Arindhaal, which was a super hit. She has also appeared in more than 35 ads till now. She played central character in Rejith’s short film, ‘Amaranth'. She won Kerala state awards for best child artist in 2013. She shared the award with Sanoop Santhosh, who together had a good chemistry with Mammootty’s Bhaskar The Rascal – one of the biggest hits of 2015.
