Angela Jonsson Biography

Angela Jonsson is a successful Indian model from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This model shot to fame after the win of the Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt in 2011. She also found her name in the list of ‘Times 50 Most Desirable Women in India’ in 2011. She has been linked with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor soon after the contest is more known for being one of Ranbir Kapoor's girls than being an actress. She is to debut Bollywood with Salman Khan starrer Sher Khan. But the movie got dragged behind other Salman khan projects.

Jonsson was born on 28 February 1990 in Chennai. Her father belongs to Iceland and mother is a Mangalorian. Her parents are coffee exporters and have 10 children – 7 girls and 3 boys. Her childhood was spent at Kodaikanal where she studied at an International school. She shot to fame after she won the Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt in 2011. She was featured in the 2011 edition of the calendar. Then she briefly dated Bollywood star, Ranbir Kapoor. As per sources she was with Ranbir at Aer Bar and spent 15 days together. She has become the cover girl of almost all leading fashion magazines of India. She acted as the judge of the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt 2012.

Though it was reported that she was signed by Tamil director A. R. Murugadoss for Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli, she denied the news stating that she is focusing on modelling career right now. Also she wants to train herself and improve dance and dictation skills before accepting a film project. She was supposed to debut Bollywood with Salman Khan’s Sher Khan. But the shooting has been delayed.
