Anand Tiwari Biography

Anand Tiwari is a Bollywood actor who has been associated with theater as well. He is mostly seen in supporting roles. As a film actor, his noted roles are Udaan (2010), Kites (2010), Aisha (2010), and Go Goa Gone (2013). Rage Productions' One on One (2010) where he played the role of ‘lamp post’ is his best role as a stage actor. He is the co-founder of the theatre company, FAT Productions in Mumbai.

 

He played the role of Appu in critically acclaimed and award winning movie, Udaan. He played the role of Bunny, one among the three friends in comedy zombie movie, Go Goa gone. He played the role of newsreader in Oscar winning movie – Slumdog Millionaire. Kites, Aisha, R(evolution), What the Fish, Mumbai Meri Jaan and The President Is Coming. He has also worked as an assistant director of movies like Barfi and The President Is Coming and a couple of short films.

 

He was born in Mumbai on May 29, 1983 and brought up in a family of doctors. Small roles in Marathi theatre in the local Ganpati and Navratri festivals is his first acting experience. He also participated in summer acting workshops at his school. He completed his Bachelors of Mass Media from University of Mumbai in 2004. He entered Bollywood in the late 2000’s doing bit roles. He also got opportunity to work in Hollywood movies like Slumdog millionaire and Fair game.

 

He has also experience for assisting Anurag Basu in Hrithik Roshan movie - Kites. He played memorable roles in Udaan (2010), Kites (2010), Aisha (2010), and Go Goa Gone (2013) and is active in Mumbai theatre circle right now.
