Amit Tandon Biography 
Amit Tandon is a singer and television actor. He came to limelight for the first time with the first season of India’s ever first reality show – Indian Idol season 1 telecasted in Sony Television during 2005. Though he couldn’t win everyone’s heart through his singing talents, he received appreciation for good looks. Later he landed into the world of Indian television giving some memorable performances. He is popular with television serial, Dill Mill Gayye where he played the role of Dr. Abhimanyu Modi. He also hosted reality show Dadagiri Season 4 on UTV Bindass.
Amit Tandon was born on 11 April 1979 in US. He hails from New York and graduated from Stony Brook University. When Indian Idol was announced in India for the first time, with the concept of successful reality show - American Idol, it was for the first time when users’ sms votes were used solely for the announcement of winners. Indian Idol was the first Indian program to use this format and Amit Tandon reached Mumbai to give audition and got through. He passed preliminaries easily, though he was not at all was a trained singer. Yet before his elimination took place on December 31, 2004 as the second one to go out, he had improved a lot.
Very soon, he got offers for acting and thus he became a part of Indian entertainment industry. He also provided vocals for Indian Idol 1 released album of Abhijeet Sawant and Yadein of Amit Sanu, both were the contestants of Indian Idol season 1. He played supporting role – Pritvi in Sony Television Network’s Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, marking his acting debut. He appeared as Manthan in ‘Indian soap epic’ - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, followed by Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan. He also participated as a contestant of reality shows of celebrities - Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and Zara Nachke Dikha. Now he appears in fantasy sitcom - Jeannie Aur Juju.
