Aditya Tare Biography

Aditya Tare is an Indian cricketer associated with IPL T20 matches. A wicketkeeper right hand batsman of Mumbai Indians, he is one of leading players of the side, known as an opening batsman as well. In domestic cricket, he plays for Mumbai team. As on March 2016, he scored 859 runs in 13 First class matches, at an average of 45.21 runs. He has scored 502 runs from 26 matches he played in T20 with a batting average of 25.1. He has also scored 405 runs in 23 LA matches. In the last season of Ranji trophy, as a wicketkeeper he created new record with 41 dismissals.

 

His full name is Aditya Prakash Tare. He was born in Mumbai in 1987. Interested in sports during his teens, he first started off with football at the age of 14. But later he realized that it’s not what he meant for and later he concentrated to cricket. He was able to reach Under 14 cricket squad, and later in Under 17 cricket squad with his hard work and dedication. He also joined Under 19 team, which later paved his way to T20 IPL series. He made his first class debut in 2009.

 

He is known for his outstanding performances as a wicket keeper in the last Ranji season and till now he has received opportunity to play with many cricket legends. With a record 41 dismissals as a wicket keeper, he also played extremely well as a batsman. He scored 842 runs in the series, thus becoming the second highest run scorer for the team Mumbai. He received Best Mumbai Ranji Cricketer for 2012 – 13. He played 5 matches in the IPL series and won one Man of the Match award against Rajasthan Royals.  India A, Indian Oil Corporation XI, Mumbai Cricket Association President's XI, Mumbai Indians and Mumbai Under-19s are the major teams for which he has played for.
