Aditya Pancholi Biography

Aditya Pancholi is an actor who has worked as leading hero, supporting actor and villain in Bollywood and Telugu movies. His roles as villain in the movies Hamesha and Yes Boss were well noted, he got a Filmfare nomination for Yes boss as well. His other movies as leading hero in Sailaab opposite Madhuri Dixit, Saathi, Khilona, double role in Jung, Namcheen and Chor aur chaand were well appreciated. He is married to actress of late 70’s and 80’s, Zarina wahab who is 6 years older than her. Nowadays he and his family are in news with the unfortunate death of actress Jiah Khan.  

Born as the son of film producer Rajan Pancholi and Aruna, he stepped into Bollywood with the movie Shahadat in 1985. According to an assignment he did a few music videos Sona ka pinjara, Siyadi, Singora and Kalank ka tikka. He did a few movies also - Sasti Dulhan Mahenga Dulha, Maryam Ki Beti and Afshar Ki Saali. Kab Tak Chup Rahungi of 1988 placed him in the limelight. It happened to be the debut movie of south Indian actress Amala too. After a couple of movies, his supporting roles in 1989 movies – Jadugar and Ladai helped him to sustain in Bollywood for a while. It was Sailaab opposite Madhuri that helped him a lot in his career, though the movie was only semi-hit at box office. His first comedy flick – Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri of 1990 became a hit and was charted among the top 10 movies that year. His roles in Zakme Zameen and Maha Sangram, exactly the same year were also well appreciated for the supporting roles he played. Gradually he switched on to character roles of his negative role of Yes Boss and Hameesha (1997) are remembered most. His role in Aatish: Feel the fire was well appreciated and was compared to Hollywood actor Al Pacchino. It is one among his best performances till now.  

He has produced one critically well acclaimed film titled Chor aur Chand. With the next millennium, he did a few memorable roles in the movies like Baagi, Yeh dil aashiquana, Tarkeeb, Jung, Aankhen, Jaani Dushman, Body guard and Striker.
