Aditya (kannada Actor) Biography

Aditya, also referred to as Auditya is a film actor and producer associated with Kannada movies. He made his acting debut in 2004 in lead role with the film - Love and was paired with Rakshita. Malayaalm actor Mohanlal appeared in a cameo role in this film and Bollywood composer Anu Malik marked his Kannada debut with this film. He was launched to films by his father Rajendra Singh Babu who directed him in many movies including his debut flick. Aditya has made his mark in the industry as a successful actor of commercial films. Aditya has completed more than one decade in the film industry.

Aditya is born into a filmy family with three generations being into films. He is the son of noted film producer and director Rajendra Singh Babu. Noted south Indian actress Rishika Singh is his sister. He is the grandson of Mysore based film producer Shankar Singh and former Bengali actress Pratima Devi. His aunt is married to actor Jai Jagdish. Aditya was born in Bangalore in 1978. His schooling was completed in Mysore and Bangalore. He was launched to film scene by his father at the age of 21 through the romantic flick – Love. The movie was dubbed into all south Indian languages. But the much hyped film was a box office failure.

In between he also made his Bollywood and Tamil film debut through the movies AK 47 and Dreams respectively. He was credited with the name Audhitya Singh for his debut flick where he played the role of Rudra Pratap. But the movie went unnoticed. He was next seen in the title role of the film, Aadi directed by M. S. Ramesh and produced by his uncle, Jai Jagadish. However he tasted success through his flick - Deadly Soma released in 2005. Since then he has delivered many hit movies in Kannada language. His 2012 film – Edegarike earned him a Filmfare nomination for best actor.
