Aditi Chengappa Biography

Aditi Chengappa is an Indian actress both in Bollywood and south Indian movies. She made her big screen debut through Telugu film, Thakita Thakita in 2010. In 2012, she debut Tamil with Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal, directed by Venky. She played lead role opposite Hridayraaj, a child artiste in Mani Ratnam film Bombay. But this completed movie is yet to get released. She is to debut Bollywood with experimental movie, ‘X’, directed by a team of eleven directors, working on one segment each. Aditi Chengappa plays the lead in the part directed by Sudhish Kamath. Rudhramadevi (Telugu) and Ra (Tamil) are her upcoming movies.

Aditi was born and brought up in Bangalore. She was born to Kannadian father and Tamilian mother. Her father is the Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune Group of Newspapers. Her mother is Delhi Centre Head at Bharat Thakur's Artistic Yoga. Adit is the great granddaughter of famous Bharatnatyam dancer -Rukmini Devi Arundale. Aditi’s schooling was done at Vasant Valley School and later studied at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. She is a trained singer who studied both Western and Hindustani music. She has been a pianist at school and college. Thus before entering acting field, music was her only passion. She is interested in computer games as well. Mortal Kombat and Quake III are her favorites. A yoga freak, Aditi also writes poetry and is passionate about environment and animals.

While at college, she did a health show Bodylicious on NDTV Good Times with her mother. It was her first experience to face camera.She made her film debut in Telugu film Thakita Thakita where she appeared in the role of Nandhini.
