Adithya (actor) Biography

Adithya Menon, shortly called Adithya is a film actor associated with south Indian film industry, best known for portraying character and negative roles. He appears in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. He had a short stint with Kannada television before his foray to movies. Ajith Kumar starrer Anjaneya released on Diwali day 2003 was his debut movie. It was Arindhum Ariyamalum that established him as a credible actor. Since then he is associated with film industry over a decade and has done many memorable roles. He played second lead in Aata Naayagan.

 

He was born in Mumbai in 1974. Later his family moved to Dubai where he completed his education. He moved back to India at the age of 18 and completed engineering from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He is an atheist since childhood. His first association with art media was with radio, when he auditioned for Radio Host with Radio Midday while at college. He worked for a short period associated with radio programs and later hosted and compared live programs like fashion shows. He also worked with amateur plays while at Bangalore, when he was spotted by Prakash Belawadi while doing one such play. He was offered a role for a Kannada serial, Mussanjeya Kathaprasanga for ETV Kannada.  

 

Very soon he bagged his first lead role for the Kannada series - Soorya Shikari directed by Sihi Kahi Chandru for the same television channel. Then he dreamt to become a film actor and moved to Chennai in 2001. He started off with Tamil television series - Thanthira Bhoomi on SUN TV, following by Annie. He signed for two film projects - Anjaneya and Jay Jay and Anjaneya released first.  Rudhramadevi and Main Hoon Rajinikanth are his latest movies.
