Adith Arun Biography

Adith Arun is a young actor of south Indian films who works in Telugu and Tamil movies. He was one among the lead actors of the Tamil remake of successful and award-winning 2007 Telugu film Happy Days, produced by Prakash Raj and directed by K. V. Guhan. The movie titled Inidhu Inidhu (2010) was a campus film which included an ensemble cast of young actors - Adith Arun, Narayan Lucky, Vimal, Sharran Kumar, Reshmi Menon, Sonia Deepti and Anjala Zaveri. The movie, which marked his Tamil film debut was a failure at box office. Earlier he has made his Telugu film debut through Katha in 2009, where he played lead role opposite Genelia D'Souza.

 

With the failure of his debut movies, he moved to supporting roles and was most recently seen in Dhanush starrer, Tamil hit - Thanga Magan (2015). He played the character role of Aravinth in this film. Earlier he acted in 2011 Tamil release - Theneer Viduthi. His Telugu releases up-to-date are – Katha, Weekend Love (2014) and Tungabhadra (2015). L7 is his upcoming Telugu film, where he is to play the lead role. Known for his thick beard and simple looks, he is mostly associated with Telugu cinema.

 

He was born in Hyderabad, brought up in Visakhapatnam and Chennai where he completed his studies. He pursued journalism in Madras Christian College. He was associated with theater before his film debut. He has acted in plays by Madras Players, Boardwalkers and others. He has also acted in many short films. He was privileged to be launched by Prakash Raj in both Tamil and Telugu films, though both ventures met with failure.
