Abhinay Deo Biography

Abhinay Deo is a successful Bollywood director, best known for his work – Delhi Belly. He also directed Anil Kapoor starrer television series – 24, which include an ensemble star cast of Tisca Chopra, Neil Bhoopalam, Mandira Bedi, Yuri Suri, Pooja Ruparel, Shivani Tanksale, Adhir Bhatt, Ajinkya Deo, Raaghav Chanana, Rahul Singh, Anita Raj and Sapna Pabbi. In fact Ajinkya Deo is his elder brother, popular with Marathi movies. Abhinay Deo is the younger son of popular star Jodi of Marathi cinema - Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo.

Abhinay Deo was form into a film family in Mumbai as the second son of Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo, the popular film actors of Marathi and Bollywood films. He completed graduation in architecture and later began his career doing commercials. Game (2011) was his first movie as a director. This action thriller with a huge star cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sarah-Jane Dias, Shahana Goswami, Boman Irani and Jimmy Shergill didn’t fare well at box office. The same year the much awaited movie – Delhi belly was released. The film was given an 'A' certificate for its profanity and sexual content, but received positive responses from critics and viewers. The movie was produced by Aamir Khan and it starred his nephew - Imran Khan and the debutant Poorna Jagannathan.

Abhinay is currently planning the sequel of Force, released in 2011. The movie will star John Abraham once again and will also feature Paras Arora, Sonakshi Sinha and Adil Hussain in pivot roles. Force 2 is set to release in 2016, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the Film City banner.
