Aadesh Bandekar Biography

Aadesh Bandekar is a noted actor and television host of Marathi. He is also a member of Shiv Sena leader. He has hosted several shows on television, the most popular ones being Home Minister on Zee Marathi and Divided on ETV Marathi. Tak Dhina Dhin, DNA Ekamatra family Show, WoW and Hafta bandh are other television shows hosted by him. He owns a production house in the name of his son.

Bandekar graduated from the Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1990. He is married to actress Suchitra Bandekar, who has appeared in both movies and television. The couple has one son. Tak Dhina Dhin on Doordarshan was the first show hosted by Aadesh. It was a musical anthakshari show. The game show Home Minister on Zee Marathi made him a star overnight and still now, he is known for this popular show. The show was exclusively for housewives and as a host, Aadesh visited homes, play games and give prizes to winners. This show made him immensely popular among ladies of Maharashtra, particularly housewives and they fondly called him Bhauji.

He joined Shiv Sena party in September 2009 and became the second celebrity from entertainment industry after Abhijeet Sawant to join this regional party. He contested State Assembly elections of 2009 representing Shiv Sena party from Mahim constituency. However the lost the state assembly elections and returned back to television to resume his role as a television host. Yet he continued his association with the party as a party worker. Apart from a successful television host, he also appeared in Marathi TV serials - Avaghachi Sansar and Avantika. He made his film debut through Vishwaas.
