A. Harsha Biography

A. Harsha is a popular choreographer and director of Kannada cinema. Many of his choreographed songs are instant hits. Meravanige, Moggina Manasu, Rishi, Taj Mahal, Only Vishnuvardhana are his most popular works. As a film director he is versatile with its technical aspects. He has performed more than 500 stage shows and has choreographed more than 200 movie songs. His own professional team is named Xtremers which has successfully completed 500 stage shows. He debuted Kannada film industry as a choreographer for the movie Ranga S.S.L.C in 2004. Harsha made his directorial debut with Geleya in 2007, starring Prajwal Devaraj and Tarun, an action movie made on underworld.  

Harsha was born in Bangalore on August 24, 1980 as the son of T. Ashok and Poornima. His brother Bharath Ashok currently lives in California. Harsha’s school education was done at Sri Kumaran Children’s Home and Holy Saint English School. He did his Automobile diploma in Oxford College, Bangalore. But since childhood his real passion was dance and his dancing talent was well promoted by his parents too. Harsha started his career as a stage dancer and later choreographed his own team, Xtremers. He debut film industry in the year 2004 as a choreographer of the movie, Ranga S.S.L.C.

As a choreographer, his first major hit was the movie, Mungaaru Male. After that he choreographed numerous Kannada movies. As a director, his debut movie was Geleya in 2007. The movie was hit at box-office too. Later he directed a few more movies – Birugaali with Chetan Kumar and Sitara Vaidya in the lead and Chingari with Darshan and Deepika Kamaiah in the lead. His upcoming project is Bhajarangi which stars Shivarajkumar and Aindrita Ray in lead roles. Harsha is married to actress Sitara Vaidya.
