Wonders Of Indraprastha

 

Capital city of India – New Delhi. It gives a lot of monuments and museums for those who really love to go through its ancient culture and tradition. So, let us have a fun ride connecting important wonderlands of Indraprastha.

National museum – This museum is famous for historical books. More than 2 lakhs exhibitory materials and 5000 valuable paintings are also in this museum. Different types of Buddha statues and instruments, weapons, scripts and crafts of Indus valley civilization, Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa are present here.

Rashtrapathi Bhavan – Museum associated with Rashtrapathi Bhavan is another interesting sight of the capital city. Pictures of British rulers, statues, Darbar hall, public library and paintings are worth to see once. Visitors can also register online.

National rail museum of Chanakyapuri – You can enjoy a fun ride in a small train. You can also see mono rail that toured in Patiala of Punjab during the period, 1907-1927. World’s oldest steam engine – Fairy Queen, old fire engine, wooden and metal coaches, coal and steam engines and different types of locomotive engines are displayed here.

Indira Gandhi memorial museum - Private possessions of both Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi are place in this museum situated at Safdarjung Road. Visitor’s room and bedroom of Indira Gandhi are preserved as such.

Children’s museum – National Bal Bhavan of Kotla road is exclusively for kids. Different types of pet animals and decorative fishes are also grown here. Programs are also held to nourish talents of children.

Air Force museum – Photographs to know more about the history of Air Force and martyrs are placed in this museum. Models of different aero planes are also displayed.

National science centre – It’s a great guide not only to students but also for parents and teachers. This wonder world is situated in an eight storied building of Pragathi Maidan, Gate no.1. Growth of science in the past 4500 years is exhibited in its gallery as well as a few movies too, to know about science near.

Puppet museum – It’s a favorite one of all kids. Puppet museum with thousands of puppets is situated in Nehru House of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. This museum was established by artist Shankar.

Other noted spots – Indian Parliament, Qutub Minar, Bahai Temple, Rajghat and Gandhiji museum, Teen murthy Bhavan and National gallery of modern art also are worth to see once. Ravindra Bhavan, Archeological museum of Red Fort, National Craft museum at Pragati maidan, Metro museum, National police museum of Lodi, National museum of  Natural history and Dhak Bhavan are a few more.
