Liril girl – Preity Zinta made her debut with Dil se and very soon she became the most successful model turned actress of India.

The latest names added to the list are Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. Though Katrina is still struggling with her acting, her Barbie looks have attributed a lot to gain attention in Bollywood. She has worked with all big actors and banners of the industry and one of the most successful actresses at present. Deepika too is a supermodel and badminton player, before she made her Bollywood debut through Om Shanti Om. Among all beauty pageant winners, Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra is the only beauty queen who has been able to grab National award for best actress. The dusky Bengali beauty, a former supermodel Bipasha Basu definitely deserves a position in the list. Lara Dutta, Diya Mirza, Anushka Sharma and Neha Dhupia are a few more names. Though the ladies have received criticisms first, they have faced them with their positive approach and showed the whole world that models can act.

Now let us move on and find some of the leading male models who got successful in Bollywood. Among all models, John Abraham is definitely the leading name. Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Rajneesh Duggal, Dino Morea, Milind Soman and Rahul Dev were successful models before entering Bollywood.
