The debut film of Hrithik Roshan was Kaho Na Pyaar Hai with Amisha Patel. No one thought that this film will win as both the hero and heroine of the films were debutants. However this became one of the highest grossing films of that time. This also won the best film award. Hrithik Roshan became a star overnight and this film went on to bag 102 awards totally and so was placed in the Limca Book of Records. He was booked for next two years fully through this success.

His film Fiza was not successful but was able to receive some praises for his work from the film critics. He became not only a talented actor but also a good dancer. He was able to handle any tough dance movements with ease. The film Kashmir was another milestone in his career as this was one of the highly successful films.

But the road was not all smooth for Hrithik Roshan in the year 2002. There were three consecutive flops and this was something which anyone will find it hard to withstand. However he was able to face things with great courage and was able to climb up again. From the film Koi Mil Gaya in the year 2003 he started to write his success story again and this is continuing until now.

Koi Mil Gaya was one of the very few scientific fiction films in the Hindi film industry. He gave many hits after that such as Lakshya, Jodha Akbar, Dhoom, Dhoom 2 to name a few. He became very famous in India and abroad for his achievements. He received Golden Minbar International Film Festival award for the film Jodha Akbar. Guzaarish and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara are his recent successes.

He paired with beauty queen Aishwarya Rai in the film Dhoom 2 and he won his third Filmfare Best Actor Award for this. He played the part of Akbar the Great in the film Jodha Akbar and this won him his fourth Filmfare award as well as the international award. He is also a good singer and has sung songs for the films Kites, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Guzaarish.

He belongs to the family with film background; his father was a film director and his mother is the daughter of the veteran film producer cum director J. Om Prakash. He married Suzanne and has two sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan. On his right hand he has two thumbs. He was traumatized during his school days due to stammering. He had to fight hard to overcome this defect of his childhood days. He often bunked school due to this but later he was able to improve gradually and could earn a bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Many people would think that he was born with silver spoon and so attaining success would be easier for him but this actor knows what it means and he had to put his hard work and work with dedication and determination. People see you what you are on the screen not what your family is.
