Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar shall no more be seen on the field as a player once the second Test match between India and West Indies comes to an end. There are at the most four possible innings left in the illustrious career of the Master Blaster. There is no doubt that the entire cricketing fraternity in general and the Indian fans in particular will wish to watch Sachin play in his last Test match.

Sachin simply remains the most worshipped and adored cricketer in the world. He is, arguably, the most complete batsman with every shot in the book that he can play. The cover drives that he plays are sweet to watch for any Indian fans. The late cut that he managed to play very successfully towards the end of his career have proved to be the hallmark of his batting style.

The Mumbai batsman holds almost every possible batting record today, even when the triple century in Test matches is still eluding him. However, he already holds prominent records like scoring the most centuries in ODIs (One Day Internationals), scoring the most centuries in Tests, playing the most number of ODIs and playing the most number of Tests and is the first to score a double century in ODIs.

The right-handed batsman has scored 18,426 runs in the shorter format of the game and has 15,837 runs to his credit in the longest format. He has played only one T20 intentional match in which he scored 10 runs in 12 balls, with a couple of fours. His highest personal scores are 200 not out in one-dayers and 248 not out in Tests.

The Master Blaster has slammed 51 centuries and 67 half-centuries in Tests. In one day matches, he has 49 hundreds and a whopping 96 50s.

After playing the final two Test matches of his career, he will become the first player to play as many as 200 Test matches, a great achievement in itself. There is no doubt that there will be a big, a very big vacuum when Sachin will no longer be a part of the Indian team in the form of a batsman. But he will continue to be an inspiration for the batsmen all over the world.
