A helmet saves a life. We have come across many rules from the government saying about compulsory helmet. But at the same time we also see that not many citizens are following these rules. Our government is warning day by day and also collecting fine with people who are not wearing helmets. But what ever may happen, we see than most of them are not wearing any helmets. Everyone should feel the responsibility and follow the rules of wearing the helmets.

Richa Agni Hothra who is a ACP officer of Traffic in Ludiana of Punjab was very much upset with the people who do not wear helmets. Inspite of charges, fines and many different types of charges people did not take this issue so seriously. She was very much worried about this and seriously wanted to bring some good changes in the society, she wanted to make something which makes people think about wearing the helmets compulsorily. She wanted to bring the awareness in the society about how important it is to everyone to wear a helmet while driving. So thinking very wisely she made a new rule in the city Ludiana which worked out very well.

Richa Agni Hothra ACP officer of Traffic kept many traffic constables around the city, the main duty of these constables was to observe the people in the traffic who does not wear the helmet. If the officer comes across such people who have no helmet they will not charge any fine or penalty, but instead they give them new helmet which have to be purchased compulsorily. If they reject to purchase the helmet at that time the constables would take action on them and file a case on them.

This idea seems to have worked out very well in that city. She says that she has observed lot of changes within 10 days, because people who have already purchased a helmet never showed interest to buy another one. She says that she has observed changes in elders and most of the women, but the college students have to feel more responsible and she is expecting the changes in college students.
