Nainital- A beautiful hill station 

Nainital situated on three sides of famous heart- shaped Naini Lake at about 7000ft above the sea level in Himalayas. Nainital is perhaps the most naturally beautiful places of its kind in north India, which has nine lakes in all to justify its name. However there should be no doubt whatsoever that a visitor never forgets this place once happened to be here. I myself have visited this place more than 40 times in my life. Although the place is good for all weather but the beauty of the place increases, many fold after rainy season to attract big number of tourists from allover the world.

Nainital is spread over almost 10km of area with star attraction of the city being Naini Lake about one and half km long and half a km wide. Another attraction point is Maidan the big field or open stadium close to the Lake where an army band plays in the evening for the entertainment of visitors who come for a walk here also to visit famous temple situated here.

Different kinds of boats are another pastime along with horse riding round the Lake on especially built lane for the purpose. Other attractions include Naina Peak, Snow View and Tiffin Top where every tourist walk or rides on a horse back. Ropeway too is popular attraction of tourists going for Snow View. The view of snow-clad hills of Himalayas from the top and lake provides the most amusing view to a visitor to Neonatal.

Other tourist attractions

Governor house, natural cave garden, temple of Naina Devi, Golf course, greenery all around the city with lots of cedars, pines etc and forests are some of the places where tourists forget ever thing else. Tourists take long walks on the Mall road, which is closed for vehicular traffic during day hours. Locals are simple and love their guests with all politeness.

There are thousands of hotels in the city to suit every pocket depending on the season. The rooms with all facilities are available at very reasonable rates therefore the place has become a very popular honeymoon destination lately.
