Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, King Kothi Palace, Falaknuma, Purani Haveli, Mecca Masjid and Charkaman are some of the places of historical importance in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is famous for Hyderabadi cuisine which consists of spicy rice, chicken and meat varieties. Hyderabadi cuisine is influenced by the French, Turkish, Irani and Arabic cuisine and some of the popular items are Hyderabadi Biriyani, Shammi Kebab, Sheekh Kebab, Hyderabai Haleem, Qubani Ka Meetha, Faludha, Kaddu Ki Kheet and Double Ka Meetha.
