Chandigarh is one of the well planned cities of India located in the border of Haryana and Punjab state and serves as the capital city of both of them. At the same time it is a union territory that comes under the direct administration of the Union Government of India. The Volvo buses and other ordinary buses are available to Chandigarh from all nearby destinations.

 

The places of tourist attraction in Chandigarh are Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden, The Legislative Assembly, Pinjore Garden, The High Court, Mohali Cricket Stadium, Museum and Art Gallery and Cactus Garden. In Sector 17, 22 and 35, many shopping malls are located and those who love shopping would like to explore these places. But the costs of goods when compared with that in Delhi are slightly higher.

 

There are many popular and good quality centers of higher education located at this place and so there is a flock of student community seen here. The engineering and medical colleges here are popular all over India. Together with the increased number of student population, there are also high influx of workers community due to the ever widening IT and BPO industry here. All these things contributed to the growth of hotel industry and many hotels have sprung up in all the parts of Chandigarh. The bed and breakfast schemes are also organized by the administration of the city.

 

The Chandigarh restaurants serve Punjabi and Chhattisgarh cuisine and also other dishes such as continental, North Indian and South Indian. There are many roadside outlets seen in Sector 8 that serve the Amritsari dishes that will melt into your mouth.
